I have read the other posts, I have followed the directions on editing the UpperFilters and LowerFilters.
It worked - no more yellow "!" in the device manager and it has an assigned driver letter.
Windows XP sp2 even recognizes it and allows Recording.

However, when using Roxio's Easy Media Creator 7 Classic Home to make a data disc then I have trouble.
It will allow me to browse to my files and drag them onto my burner's drive. I click 'Burn' and it takes me to the next screen. Here is where the issue is, there is no drives listed under 'select device'.

How can I make EMC 7 recognize my burner? It is working outside of EMC.

Thank you very much for helping me out.

If you have allowed Windows to update you to IE7 or WMP10, it isn't going to work anymore.

You have to rollback to IE6 and an earlier version of WMP.

Thank you for your quick reply.

As a matter of fact I do have IE 7.0.5 and WMP 11 installed.

Is there a version of EMC that will work under these conditions?

Thank you,

Yes.....versions 9 & 10 are ok.

What do you have against rolling back IE 7 and WMP 11.

1. Corporate Environment.
2. Not my decision.
3. Just trying to help out a user.

Thanks for everything!
