My computer recently crashed and before it did I burned all of my data (business info, family photos, etc) to 9 separate dvd's as data discs. before I wiped out my system and reformatted my drive I checked every single dvd to make sure the data I needed was on them, my computer read them just fine. Then upon reformatting my computer now says the disc is blank or inaccessible, it also seems to think they are CD's instead of DVD's, not sure what that means.... Have tried the discs on 8 other computers now and none of them can read my dvd's either, including one who has roxio on it as I did on my old system. These files are VERY important, does anyone know what is going on and how I can fix this problem? Sadly, I also lost my copy of Roxio, which is also on one of my "blank" dvd's so I cannot even recall now which version I had.
You say you don't remember what version! Do you remember what application these " 9 separate dvd's as data discs" were burned in?
IsoBuster 2.3, DVD, CD, BD and HD DVD recovery software, is a free version to see if there is anything to recover. Then you pay for the software. Download it, have it look at the disc's and tell us what format the disc's are in.
