How do i capture individual photos and vdeo clips without capturingan entire dvd?

It depends on what kind of DVD you made. Could you give a little more information about how you made the DVD, please?

Yes I used the Dvd builder in Easy Media Creator 7. I selected the top selection as DVD

I don't think that was the information that he was looking for. Did you use a video clip to make the DVD?

Open VideoWave, browse to that video clip in Media Selector, right click on the clip, and select Extract Image. Go throught the video until you find the picture that you want to extract, and click on Extract.

Actually, that's the information I was looking for.

Unfortunately, there isn't any way to 'capture' just part of the information from a DVD that you've burned.

Now if you selected the option to put the original photos on the DVD, those might be in a separate folder.

In the future, make certain that you've stored those original photos onto a DATA DVD with Creator Classic. The photos on the DVD have been made into a movie and the quality will probably not be as good as the originals when you extract them from the captured video.
