I would first borrow a different brand of blank media from a friend and try that. What brand are you using? You could post the media ID (MID) in your EMC 9 Retail version under tools, DVDInfo Pro, click the info icon at top with a disc in the drive. The clip board icon saves the information, then right click paste in a post here.
