I am trying to record a stream off the net....is there anyway to find out the quality of the stream that I am recording?

The download stream or the file that you recorded? For download, the site should have that information. Have you right clicked on the file you downloaded and looked at the properties summary?

for the stream...........it has a built in player like a myspace player so it doesnt let you right click

Go to the web site; they should have that information. Why are you asking about the stream?

I guess that you are going to have to right click on it, after you download it.

That's a moot point because you can't change that except on the download site if it provides options. I suppose that if I asked what site, you would reply "An audio download site on the internet". ohmy.gif

Why don't you just see what capture settings you are using? Capture as wav (uncompressed) for best reproduction of the captured audio. This is from EMC 9 but it should be the same in EMC 8 unless you got one of the basic versions.
