I am having a problem with Creator 7 in being able to save pictures after I have put a cd-r in put some pictures on it then eject it and checking the box to keep this for this computer and not finalizing it to be used on other computers. When I put the cd back in and try to put more pictures or data on it I get the message Media Status notification E:\ Write failure while recessing media. Cannot copy to the disk it is write protected. Remove the write protection or use another disk. Before I was able to put all kinds of pictures or data on a cd after taking it out and then putting it back in without any messages. I have changed no settings. I am planning to upgrade to Creator 10 in the future but for now I am trying to solve this Creator 7 problem Roxio will not help they say they do not support Creator 7 anymore. I never had this trouble with Creator 5. Can anyone help or give me advice to solve this problem.

Simple solution. Quit using Drag to Disc, and use Creator Classic to do it.

Also, you may want to edit out your e-mail address, unless you want a lot of spam. This is a public forum.

You might want to edit out your email address, altho google has probablyseen it by now.

These are public Forums, searched by google and other search engines, which in turn are searched by spammers seeking to "harvest" email addresses for spamming purpoes.

Questions are answered in public, where everyone gets the benefit of the answer.

Actually it should work as intended just the way you are using it…

However the failure you are seeing is typical for packet writing and the reason the vast majority delete the program from their PC's!!!

The very small number who do use packet writing learn real fast, never trust it with the only copy of anything you value!

As gpb suggested use Classic and learn to write Sessions with Classic so you can add more later. Of course use CD-R or DVD R media as all RW media will fail in time.

With Classic you 'Author' a disc, and that produces a 100% rock solid disc.

Add/Remove Programs – Roxio – Change/Modify and deselect Drag to Disc.

Working from memory here but it should be pretty close. In V9 and V10 D2D was a separate entry in the Add/Remove list.

Version 9 has the separate add remove entry. Version 10 there is no D2D, Drag to Disc program in the Suite. V10 is a certified for vista version, I'm told Vista has it's own version of packet writing software in the OS.

Sorry about the memory, Jim. smile.gif

I have tried everything that has been suggested including uninstalling Creator 7 and reinstalling it. After all of this I am still having the problem of only getting one session ona a CD.
