I think I must be missing something somewhere.
When I have made a cut out from one of my photos, I want to save it to a folder in order to use it later in other projects that are not Photosuite.
I can only save it in png file which is not recognised by my other programs.
Is there a way to do this, saving in jpg or tiff?
I require the cut out to have no background.

Have you tried a File\ Save As.....? That should allow you to save in the .jpg format.

I'd recommend when you first start working with the photo, you do a File\ Save as.... and give it another name in the folder that you choose. Then when you get the photo the way you want, do a File\ Save as..... and save it to the new name. It will ask if you want to replace that copy of the photo and you can answer yes or give it another name.

Tried it and I can now save it in tiff or jpg. Only snag is the saved picture is in a white square box and I need it to have no background showing.
It's fine if I want to use the photo on a white background but on a coloured background it appears in its white square.
