im done with my mydvd9 project. its pretty large 1hr45min movie, with a 9 minute slide show. I can fit it on a 4.7 verbatim disc on 'fit to disc' mode with just a few seconds remaining........................I know its large and i'd get better quality if i made it much shorter............im aware of all that, but its done and has to be made this way.

but would I benefit any (quality wise) by going to a Dual Layer disc??

Cut your project to one hour output it as a ISO image file, DVD Best quality and burn it to a single layer disc. Then you compare apples to apples and tell us if there is a big enough quality difference to warrant a DL Disc Project. No other magic included on a DL disc, just twice the capacity.

Don't use the "Fit to Disc" option instead burn the 1:45 hour project to an iso image file at best quality. Then use DiscCopier to burn it to a 4.7GB DVD. DiscCopier will transcode the iso file to fit on the DVD and many of us feel the quality is better than "Fit to Disc"
