Vcgproxyfileman.exe runs in background while in mydvd8. Have cleared all proxy files in videowave. vcgproxy...is taking up 35-40 of CPU capacity, yet no tasks are being run. How can I shut off? Notice that playback of dvd is skippy yet only this program and System Idle Process are running.

You can stop it from running by using the Windows, Start, msconfig, start up and disable it there or

Open Media Manager and shut off the file manager there. Tools/watched folders. If you want to have only certain ones managed, then you can set that also.

That file manager should have only run once to catalog all the files on your computer. If you let that happen, then it won't take up all that CPU time.
