My memory card reader is recognized in media manager but does not appear in import photo drop-down window.

I don't know why it wouldn't work, but you are better off copying those photos, from your card reader, to a folder on your hard drive, first. Then use them in the Roxio programs.

Thanks. I knew that option existed thru media mgr but inconsistencies like that just really bug me when there's no readily apparent reason for them to exist.

It should work either way. I just connected an old external card reader and Media Manager recognized it, np.
