I have used Roxio Easy Media Creator7 Basic DVD occasionally since I got the computer last May - recently it would not load - it would hang at the point where it just says loading components. I went to Start/control panel/add remove software and tried to repair the program - it would not do anything - it just froze - I then un-installed the program and re-installed it - it worked fine, allowing me to copy a couple of discs and adjust a couple of Jpeg pictures. The next day I tried to use the program again and it froze at the loading components stage again - i tried again to repair/uninstall but this time i get the following error messages

1) SEVERE - Unable to find a certificate file

2) SEVERE - Could not open the certificate reading DLL - this message is repeated 17 times

3) There was a problem authenticating your version. Please make sure your system is set to the current date. (Which it is)

Any help warmly welcomed

Try using the Microsoft Cleanup Utility to get rid of all Roxio and Sonic files on your computer, reboot, then try to reinstall.

Thank you for replying and for all the other threads on here - it is so nice that people take the trouble to help - I eventually got the cleanup to work and I am flying on all engines again.

Cheers one and all

Since you have not stated your propblem at all, it is very difficult to offer any help.
Also it is a poor idea to post your e-mail address in message boards, hackers troll these boards looking for e-mails addresses
