Hi,
I had the same problem but fixed it thus..
First make sure you erase data on a BDRE (ReWritable disk) so its formatted and blank if your doing a test on a BD-RE disk.
Create image .gi files by exporting your project making sure you use the correct BD-R or BR-RE settings also go into project settings before you export and choose HD tab, then select medium 15kbs sec option. Export your 2 .gi files.
Go the "Burn Image", select from file and select your small .gi file of the two. Make sure you select BD-R or BD-RE at this point as if you leave the DVD up on dropdown window you will get the error. I was getting the problem as I didnt change the DVD dropdown window to BD-RE. Burn your image.
Fingers crossed this helps.

First off perhaps i should apologise for the tone of my replys, but let me explain.
dvdit pro hd has a fantastic user interface, imho, far better than dvda5 which i just dont like, cant get to grips with.
however there are obviously problems with the software ie
A) project too big(even though it tells me ive got nearly 1gig free).. it just crashes at the end waisting hours of my time

warning me an mpeg file is not 'dvd' compliant when im building a bluray project..pointless
C) unable to import an AVC file from sony vegas without a warning about dvd and bluray compatability...i have no idea if it is or isnt so stuck with mpeg as i have been unable to find the magic formula yet
D) dvdit doesnt tell you its recompressing..i have to guess by the amount of time it takes.
C) runtime errors when inserting chapter markers ie scrubing through time line.
D) lack of feed back ie..ok we are working on it we know there is a problem
E) auto update when / if a patch released
the software is titled PRO so one would expect it to be such. I make a living producing films on dvd i use dvdlab PRO and was hoping to move totally across to this
because i also wish to produce a limited number of bluray discs. DVDA 5 was a FREE upgrade to burn bluray (thanks sony) dvdit pro hd cost £130 to upgrade and so one would hope for better service.
Last night i was all set to get a refund( I was angry having spent over an hour waiting for the program to finish building an image for it just to crash)but as i said i like the program so please can it be fixed..thanks john
