Is there any reported problems caused by installing I.E.7. like we had with Internet Explorer 6
and Easy media 7

I've had no problems but you should give Firefox a hard look before you install IE7.

IE 7 will effectively kill video editing in EMC 7. Don't install it, if you want to continue using EMC 7.

Also, don't install WMP 11.

I do use Firefox What should I look for in Firefox.? Do you mean use Firefox instead of I.E. 7 I ask only because I keep getting upgrade now to I.E.7 comments.

I merely meant that in the opinion of many, FF is way ahead of IE7 in what it can do. It's more tweakable and many think, safer but both are much safer than IE6 which you should not use.
FF offers extensions (add-ons) that lets you tweak.

I am now using EMC9 though I liked the transitions and effects better in 7.. I got 9 because of I.E.6 and do not want to get burnt again I am using Firefox but keep getting upgrade now from I.E.7

Ok. Thanks for the advice. As you can tell i am truly a rookie on some things. In any event I will use fire fox primarily and update to I.E. 7

Did we phrase something incorrectly? DO NOT update to IE 7 f you want to use EMC 7 for Video.

Even if you "never use IE 7", it will still make changes in your registry that will "break" EMC 7.
