I am using Roxio ECM9 on a dell inspiron, with 3 gb ram and vista premium with an ATI tuner card. I am using my Sony camcorder to capture video using the s video output connected to the ati tuner card. The video captures ok from my ECM9 software but there is no sound during playback.

Would really appreciate it if someone could guide me on this.

How are you capturing the audio?

What camera; what tuner card, what computer. etc. More details please.

What type of camcorder is it?

If it is a miniDV tape camcorder, then you have to use (and absolutely should) a firewire connection, between the camcorder and the computer.

If it is a miniDVD disc camcorder, then you finalize the disc, and put the disc in your computer optical drive, and copy the files to a folder on your computer.

If it is a hard drive camcorder, then you use a USB connection, and copy the files from the camcorder hard drive, to a folder on your computer, just like you would copy any file, from one place to another, on your computer.

If the camcorder is a Hi8 camcorder, then it may have a firewire connection on it.

If it is a VHS-C camcorder, then I believe that you have to connect the audio cables, too.
