When backing up data files to a CD-RW, it took about one minute or more to eject the disk. So I uninstalled and reinstalled. Roxio EMC 7.5. After reinstalling, my 2 optical drives disappeared and the Drag-to-Disk icon indicates "No Recorder." The Device Manager showed exclamation points on both drives. I deleted the key values--lower and upper filter--in the Registry under System\Current Control Set. After restarting, the 2 optical drives appeared and there are no longer problem warnings in the Device Manager.
However, the Drag-to-Disk icon still shows "No Recorder." I tried to copy files to CD-R and RW and DVD R-RW but EMC still couldn't find the drive.
Please help me if there is any way to fix this problem.
Thanks a lot.

Try # 5 in my signature, download it, run it, then reboot.

Right after you are done doing that, uninstall Drag to Disc, and use Creator Classic. You will be far better off.

Did somebody solve this one?
I have similar problem. My Drug-to-Disk shows "There is no disc in the recorder" on all operations, except "Eject Disc" which is working.
Creator Classic for some reason has no devices listed in "Destinations". I already tried to clean "lower and upper filters", reinstalled device driver, reinsalled Roxio 7.5 several times. Nothing helps.
Windows XP default burning is working. Tried to enabe nd disable it as well.
#5 did not help.

Try the v3 pxengine since the v4 one didn't work for you.
