I got a copy of RecordNow bundled with my laptop when I bought it almost 2 years ago. Up till now I haven't had a need to use it (I don't burn a lot of discs) but now I need to burn an ISO image onto a CD. The help says that I just need to go to the "Backup" tab and from there find my ISO image and so on. The problem is that I don't have a browse button on the backup tab. Instead I have to choose my project type. The one for burning ISO images says "upgrade" next to it.

Does this mean that I need to pay $$ to upgrade RecordNow in order to burn the ISO image?

I would say so, that's the pattern with a lot of 'bundled' software - you are given software with a very limited feature set in the hope it will persuade you to buy the full version.

If you rarely do burning operations and have one ISO to burn, why don't you try ImgBurn. It's a free download here.
