I tried many DVDs from different brands. Yesterday I wasted 32nd DVD.

Strangly I am able to burn DATA CDs. It works fine for CDs.

Can using different software than Roxio help?

You jumped onto someone elses thread with absolutely no information other than to say "me too me too". Unless you have the same version of the software and the same hardware as the OP, then your issues are likely different.

In any case, you need to provide some information before anyone can try to help (starting your own new thread would be best).

Please Post your system specs (especially the make/model of your burner drive) and some details about what specific Roxio/Sonic product/version you have, which of the many apps within the product you've tried using, exact error messages your getting, the exact steps you've tried, etc......

I am using Windows Vista+Easy Media Creater 9 (Om a Compaq(HP) laptop).

I have tried many DVDs of different brands.

I am able to burn CDs without any problem but can't burn DVDs.
Please help.

Roxio product i used : Easy Media Creater 9 (Pre-installed with OS (Windows vista home basic ) on Compaq laptop)
Drive : From samsung (Is a CD/DVD writer I have checked and confirmed that it can write DVD-R and DVD-RW) (Don't have correct model number..But will try to find out)
Problem : I am able to write CDs and read DVDs. But when I tried to burn a DATA DVD (tried many standard brands) It starts project and after complition of 64 kbs burning it shows following error.

You probably have an OEM (cut down) version if it was pre-installed. Click on help, about to get the actual version number

Also, what graphics are in your laptop? Right click anywhere on the screen, go to properties, advanced and you will find that there

Have you tried using Vista to burn a DVD, this would prove that you DVD burner is ok.

DVD burner is OK.

I tried burning with NERO (may be you don't like it) and it's Roxio EMC 9 that gives problem.

Happy with Nero.

What are your system specs, what CPU speed, how much RAM, what version number are you using?

Perhaps a language problem -- or a reading one?

My Hindi is very limited - hello, goodbye and order a drink is about it (none of which is any use here )

PS : By d way mine is Samsung SOSW 852S DVD drive. I am using wiindows vista home basic with Roxio Easy MEdia Creator 9 preinstalled with compaq laptop. I tried to burn with vist and it was succesful. Hope this will help.
