Recently installed Roxio 9 DE (on a Windows XP desktop) and have not been able to burn data to the CD-RW drive. When I get to the "burn" stage, the CD writer wizard informs me my disk is full--or it is not compatible with the process. I have Roxio 9 DE on my new laptop (Vista) and I have no problem burning data to disks: thats why I have gone to Roxio on my desktop.

Dud you let Vista 'prepare' the disc?

If so you have probably formatted it for Vista's built-in packet writing and it will be useless for any of the 2009 apps

Thanks for the reply. I think Vista did prepare the disk--so now I will have Roxio Creator 9 on my desktop prepare the disk this time and see if that solves my problem.

Again, thank you very much. (By the way, the weather in Southern AZ is quite nice now--how are things in Ireland?)

Nooo - don't do anything with the disc - just put it in and that's it it doesn't need to be formatted, prepared or anything else

Weather here - hey, this is Ireland and that translates to cold and wet (it's ALWAYS cold and wet - why do you think the place is so flamin' GREEN???) laugh.gif
