Probably the only way to figure what is the offending clip is to: create another project, add one clip and create to volume. Repeat the steps till you get the "Project too big" error. It's painful but there probably is no other way that I can think of...

Hello,

I have the same problem.
Movie file AVC 30CBR (created using Sonic Cinevision HD) size obut 26GB
1920x1080 25i
No audio, no menus.
During writing volume I receive a message "Project size is to big"
DVDit Pro HD 6.4 641B03A shows "22.6GB remaining".
I have no problems when I create BD25.

best regards

Dear all,

Unfortunately, I don't have a solution for this 'mess', but a thought / question: Could the problem
have something to do with the layer break of the DL disc? This "size too big" thing reminds me of a problem we had with older version of Apple's DVD Studio Pro. One had to set the layer break manually to avoid errors during export. Those errors - if my memory serves me right - had something to do with one of the layers being too 'big'.

So here come the two big questions:

1) Does the problem only occur with video files larger than 25 GB (or in other words: files that wouldn't fit on a BD25 disc)?

2) Is there a way to change and / or set the layer break point?

I know that this whole thing is a pain in the *youknowwhere*, but it MUST be possible to author
a BD50 disc with DVDIt Pro HD.

Best wishes.

Of course it is, my old Sonic Dvdit Pro hd version 6,3 with the monte carlo patch added manually can do it on my XP sys when created to a folder.

My new version of Avid Dvd 6,4 cannot do it on my Vista 64 sys.
