I've done many burns from MyDVD and everything worked well. The last time I did not get a menu and the dvd starts playing automatically. When I do a preview in MyDVD, the menu and my music works perfectly. I have enough disc space. I have been unable to fix this problem. I've tried multiple burns with that particular My DVD project and they all came out the same. Any suggestions?

You were a great baseball player. rolleyes.gif

Make sure that the project wasn't started in MyDVD as a "DVD, no menu" If it was, you'' have to start from scratch selecting "DVD" when you select new project. Sometimes the fingers get ahead of the thinking process. laugh.gif

Yeah, he was a great baseball player, but I believe he died over 30 years ago, so this Nellie isn't him. smile.gif

Thanks for the complement. It was a nickname a neighbor gave me years ago. smile.gif

Yes I will check this, but one question. If I inadvertently selected "DVD, no menu" would I still get a menu when I selected "Preview?"

No, if you selected "DVD, no menus" then there would be no menus in the Preview unsure.gif There must be something else going on unsure.gif

Have you tried the DVD on different players, computer or stand-alone?

I've tried it on my computer via another dvd player program and also on my Toshiba DVD recorder/player all with the same results.

My project size is 3917.2 MB (782.8 free). Do I need to have more space available? My other MyDVD's projects were never this close to using all available space. What do you think? I could go in and shorten some scenes and try it again.

Instead of burning to DVD directly, I would first "burn" to an iso file (which can later be burned to DVD). You could the test thie iso file by loading it onto a virtual drive and see if everything works there.

Do not burn to a DVD. Install a virtual drive using Disc Image Loader and then add the iso file. The virtual drive acts just like a DVD player but is created on your hard drive.

I did what you suggested. I installed a virtual drive and then clicked on the .iso file and ran it with PowerDVD and still no menu. I'm stumped.

I didn't think MyDVD could even do this but I just tried it in 2009 (don't have V10) and you can burn a DVD with Menu and only an Into…

In the Project View of this screen cap (lower left) you can see there is No Movie.

But there is an Intro movie and it will burn. Dropped into a Player it will play the entire movie (Intro) then produce the Your Title Here screen and wait forever…

If you have an Intro movie and right click on it in Project View you will have options to Remove Intro Movie & Edit. Otherwise they are not selectable.

Thanks Mr. DVDGuru. I failed to mention my version of EMC I am using. I figured that any solution would apply to my version and I know better than that. So I apologize. I now recognize that I uploaded my posts to the wrong version and I don't want to waste anyone's time. My version is Roxio Creator 8 Suite Home, Version 3.0.0 and build: 3.0.86B. Like I said previously, I've made about 5 DVD's without any problems but this last time it did not put the menu in. The only difference between this and the others is the last one is a lot larger in size compared to my others. I think I'm going to go in there and reduce some video to reduce the size and try it again and see if that works. Thanks for everyone's help.
