My Sony DVD RW DRU-840A no longer responds under Drag to Disk. Windows XP now shows it as a DVD-RAM. When you try to Enable the DVD-RW under Drag to Disk it comes back as the recorder is busy and try latter. This is even when there is no disk in the drive. Put a blank disk in and you can not do any thing with it (No Format). Put a formatted disk in and you can read from it fine but can not write to it. This has happened before with my and seems to be some bodies DRM for anti game pirate work. Any help with getting this fixed other than a complete reinstall of all software on my computer (only way i found last time)

You posted in Creator 2009, which doesn't even have D2D. It was dropped in V10.

You could take the hint that D2D is not reliable and quit using it. Or if you want your data at risk, try a Repair from Add/Remove Programs.
