These are not etched in stone so your mileage may vary
But they do indicate there can be extreme differences due to hardware. My older P4 has a modest graphics card so a better card might improve performance, slightly.
The dual core PC is a low end machine and uses a graphics chip – no card! It won't ever run Creator 2009 Video apps in XP but does using a Vista OS…

I had done this some time back and the BD vs AVCHD times were not different enough to wallow away another 35 hours for testing...
