Having purchased on line Photosuite 8 in September 2008 and experienced a problem trying to get it to find media files after 6 months of use. I was rather dissgusted to find out that Roxio wil not support my purchase despite it being only 6 months old and there is no help available to ascertain why it is not working properly. I thought that a guarantee was for 12 months silly me. My advice dont buy this soft ware

Roxio photosuite 8 and EMC 8 have been out for ages now. versions 9, 10 and 2009 are the follow up versions. And I would agree with you on not buying that particular product. Try purchasing one that is more up to date where the support is still in effect. So what is your particular probem you are having ?? With this information the forum might be able to help you.

I bought this direct from Roxio so I am surprised that they did not sell me the latest version, however what seems to have happened that although I have used this programme before without any problems, it seems that now it will not open any of my photo files. When you click on Open file it shows, My Media, Folders and My Albums but does not list any files. The only way I can get files to open is to go to the file in question and double click on the image required and it opens it through Photosuite. It is probably something really simple and having purchased the software on the 11th September 2008, directly off Roxio I was hoping they would help, but despite 3 emails they have ignored me. But maybe someone could help me

When you go to the "file in question", right click on it and then on the drop down menu, choose the option "Open With" and then pick the program you would like to use as the one to open the file. There is also an option box that you can check that will tell the computer to open that particular type file (assume you are talking about a jpg, bmp or similar photo file) every time you click on a file of that type.

It is not when I am opening a file from an existing folder which then opens in Photosuite, it is when I am in Photosuite and I want to open a file which will consist of one or more photos on file on my computer or memory stick, the Open file tab does not show me any of these files nor does it enable me to open the three tabs available, My Media, My Albums and My folders. It did not happen like this before. if I wished to open a file when I clicked on Open file it would show all the folders available so that I could click on the relevamnt folder and bring up all the files contained in that folder, this no longer happens, something has chamnged.
