I am no longer able to capture video with EMC9. I suspect it is my capture card. The card is recognized by the Device Manager, but the camera is not. The camera is a JVC GR-DVL817. Everything has been working fine for years.

The card is Adaptec and was original equipment in the Dell Dimension E510 desktop. I have 4 MB of memory and the processor is a Pentium 4 at 2.80 GHz.

I purchsed a DYNEX DX-PC12PF PCIe Adapter card with two (2) FireWire 800 ports and one (1) FireWire 400 port. I am using the 400 port. With the new card an Imaging Device appeared in the Device Manager when I turned on the camera. Also EMC9 had an entry in the Media Import screen. However, when I clicked on the drop-down, the selection would always revert back to "There are no devices for this media type."

I have looked at the Supported Capture Devices for EMC9 and DYNEX is not on it. I've tried finding one of the cards that is on the list, but my local Fry's doesn't carry any of them.
