I have a movie recorded from a tv station. I recorded it from my dish network recorder and partially removed the ads by fast forwarding while copying onto a DVD disk. I would like to clean up the movie by removing the remaining ad bits from the movie. Is there a way to edit the movie and remove the ads?

Bring your movie into VideoWave, click on Timeline, go to the beginning point of the commercial, right click on the movie, at that point, and select Split. Move on to the end of the commercial, and do the same thing. Now click on that area that you just split out, and either right click on it, and select Delete, or hit the Delete key on your keyboard.

I HAVE TRIED TO BRING THE MOVIE INTO vIDEOwAVE BUT HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO DO SO. THE PROGRAM DOES NOT RECOGNIZE THE MOVIE FROM MY E: DRIVE. HOW DO I GET THE MOVIE INTO VIDEOWAVE? MY FILE SHOWS VIDEO_RM AND VIDEO_TS. THE NOTE SAYS THERE ARE NO MEDIA FILES IN THIS FOLDER. MY VIDEO IS A READ ONLY MOVIE. VIDEO_TS SHOWS VTS_O1-1 THROUGH VTS_01_5. vIDEOWAVE WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY OF THESE FILES.

No need to shout at me. sad.gif

Is that is a Real Player format? If so, it isn't going to work with the Roxio software. It will have to be converted first.

Edit: Scratch that. You will have to capture the files from the DVD. EMC 8 won't accept the .vob files, directly from the disc, so you have to use the capture program, to get them to an mpeg2 file, on your computer. You can then use them in VideoWave.

I believe that EMC 9 was the first version to be able to accept .vob files directly.
