angry.gif I am sobbing as I write this. I HAVE TO HAVE THIS PRODUCTION DONE BY MONDAY MORNING. My sound card crashed. I had to go to a friend's house to record the narrative with her Roxio program. It recorded the clips as .wav files. I put them on my jump drive, and, when I returned home, transferred them to my computer's hdd. Now, when I go to "Add Background Audio," I get a dialog box asking me whether I want to put the .wav file on the music or sound effects track. NEITHER!!!!!! I have both music and sound effects on those respective tracks. HELP! WHAT DO I DO?

Switch to timeline view, go to "show media selector, navigate to where you have that audio, and drag that audio to the narration track. Make sure it is showing.

You are making that slide show with Video Wave aren't you? If you made it in a slide show assistant, in the last step, there is usually an option to do final editing in Video Wave.
