In EMC 8: When in Music Disc Creator, I press burn disc, insert a disc, then get a message of "no common speeds available" in the write speed window. Why am I getting this msg?
Brendon
That's the message I get if I have both my recorders selected, but a blank disc in only one of them. The program can only record simultaneously to two writers if it can run them both at the same speed, and it can't do that if one of them's empty.

Thanks for your response. I have only one recorder. I went back to check the burn window and it is the only recorder referenced, and it is checked. Am at a loss as one day I recorded, then came back two days later with the error msg. Again, thanks.

If you don't have other burners, or emulated drives, or Magic Jack, I'm afraid I'm a a loss too.

It might be worth trying an uninstall/reinstall, or even a "clean install" to get your software back to factory condition, but you'll need to keep watch on it after that to try and see what breaks it if it does go bad again.

That's what I will do. The most bothersome of this event is finding out that a product I've had for a little over two years is considered a "legacy" product that is no longer supported. I think Roxio can do better than that!! Thanks.
