Wondering if there is a way, when making a dvd video in Toast 8, to start the process without actually inserting the dvd. Most of the time it takes does not involve the actual dvd anyway - it's the encoding process of the movie file that takes the time.
Suppose I'm out of dvds? I would like to be able to start the encode while I'm running out to get 'em.
thanks for any ideas.

Yes, choose Save as Disc Image from the File menu instead of clicking the burn button. This also is a great way to test a video DVD before burning to disc. Choose the disc image using the Image File setting in the Copy window and click Mount. This should launch DVD Player to watch the movie from the disc image. If you like what you see, click the burn button.

THANKS! I'm surprised I couldn't find this on my own.
