disconnect from internet. reformat hard drive (i use an older xp sp2) reinstall xp. reinstall emc 9 suite. apparently roxio is not doing compatibility updates to xp updates. i had no trouble with emc 9 on my old computer not connected to the internet. i assemblede a new computer with a wifi connection and my troubles started with the xp updates.

Appears to me that your problem is with not being able to download "XP" updates do to a WiFi or wireless connection on your new computer. How about your EMC 9 program ?? does it still run correctly ?? OR, are the updates you are referring to updates for Roxio's program ?? As myguggi suggested---what is your exact problem ???
