Yes, I see your difficulty.

I'm really puzzled by this. You say Windows is seeing the drive, and so must Creator, else when you try to run it you'd be getting one of these warnings, and you're not are you!
Click to view attachmentYou seem to have the PxHelp20 filter in place, and so I can't work out why you're getting "No Drive Detected".
The only other thing I can suggest is to 'stand off at a distance and nuke it from orbit'. You say you've reinstalled a couple of times, but if that was just an uninstall/reinstall there are a heap of files and settings which can be left untouched. Get a copy of the
clean install procedure for Creator 9 and 10 in XP
from HERE, print it out, and follow it religiously.
If this is done properly - nothing missed, nothing added - it should clean your registry and system out thoroughly so that all-new files and settings are installed and the software when installed is in factory order again. Since you have an OEM version of Creator 9 you might find that not everything mentioned in the procedure is actually there, but follow the procedure as closely as you can.
Go well, and I'll be waiting with 'bated breath to see how you get on.
