I am not seeing that your question has anything to do with QFlix or Venue…

Tell us what product you have so we can move it to the right place. “sonic mydvd” tells us nothing since that could apply to about 20 different products!

OK at least we know where to move it!

Still like a little more detail about everything going on before you see the error message…

Does any other burning work on your PC or does everything throw an error?

Are you using the MyDVD part of the suite for this?

Have you updating/added any software since the last time it worked? Such as upgraded your Operating System [OS], Internet Explorer [IE], Windows Media Player [WMP], Windows updates, other burning related software, etc...

What version of IE and WMP is on your system?

Pretty hard to understand your post without it being in sentence and punctuation form.

Don't understand the the part about the laptop at all.

I get the impression you have XP SP3, IE 8, and WMP 11. That being the case, the IE and WMP updates you installed are probably what has broken your Sonic 7 Media Suite. Both IE 7 & 8 and WMP 11 will cause your Sonic version to quit working.

You'll need to roll IE back to v6 and WMP back to what it was before you installed v11 [probably v10 I'm guessing] in order to get the software working again.

Yes you have to go back to older versions of IE and WMP if you want your older version of Sonic to work.

Don't know what you mean by "v5".

WMP = Windows Media Player [as I noted in an earlier post].

What program are you talking about? blink.gif No body here knows what version v5 refers to.

I think the confusion being caused is that the MyDVD app in your Sonic Digital Media v7 has an app version of 5.3.0, which is what you posted a number of times. That individual app version # isn't really relevant for now, as knowing the suite is more important.

If you are thinking about updating your Sonic software so you don't have to roll back your IE and WMP software, then yes MyDVD10 or Creator 2009 will work with your current versions of IE & WMP.

Keep in mind tho, you need to make sure all parts of your system exceed the minimum requirements for either product.

Also, none of your current projects will be able to be used in the new version. You will need to re-create any of them.
