I am using Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate. When using myDVD I can only see 5 menu themes. I thought that there were a whole lot more than that but am unable to get them. Can someone help me?

Yeah I thought that might be it but I am unsure how to go back and install the content file. I have this file in my downloads folder FP19AZS0SQA_EMC11Content_7Lang but if I click on it it just says that it is not a valid Win32 file

Is there a help file on this or is it a quick reply

What OS do you have?

Was the software purchased online and downloaded? If so, it might have been a bad download or the file was corrupted. Try downloading it again.

Thank you Malatekid. I have Vista 64 bit all service packs installed. I purchased online and downloaded through Roxio site...and I was really hoping that you were not going to give me the advice to re-download.....but ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

Thanks again for the quick reply!

So thank you. I did redownload the application. Made note of the file size and it appears that the problem is a typical ID10T error. I was just so darned eager to create, I guess I paused the download so only had a partial content exe which is why it was not recognized as a WIN32 valid file.

Thanks again

I am also having this problem. I purchased the download. Does everyone feel I should re-download as well? I click the link that says "get more menus" (or something similar) and I get to the Roxio site, with no place to download menus.

HELP!

Did you download 2 files one of which should mention content in the filename? did you install it?
There are no "menus" to download - that link is left over from an earlier version and has never been removed by the programmers.

Did you even read the post in the thread you hijacked? The "content" file was mentioned in post #3.

You got a bad download. Download it again, and kill your antivirus software, and any popup blockers that you run, before trying to download.

I looked around and the "content" file originally downloaded seemed corrupt. It wouldn't open. So I uninstalled the whole program, then re-downloaded. This time both files appeared and it let me download the content. So now I have all the themes, too.

And as far as hijacking a thread, I figured it would be better than having multiple threads about one subject. I guess you just can't make anyone happy online... rolleyes.gif

Make sure you make backup copies of the files you downloaded. There is typically a limit to how many times and for how long they are available (usually 30 days or so) that you can re-download.

You're welcome, Nelly.

I am a little confused as to how to backup the download. Can I simply move/download the two unzipped files to a CD? I know this sounds like a silly question, but I have never actually done it before. I'm used to a JPEG here, a BMP there... laugh.gif

Burning a copy of them to a disc is one way to do it. You'll need to use a DVD disc (should fit on one disc) tho since the files are too big to fit on CD discs (Program file s/b 'bout 1.6gb & the Content file 'bout 900mb). You'll also want to make sure you have the Serial # you received by email backed up. You could type thtat info into a text file ( <filename>.txt ) and burn that to the disc along with the install files. You can also use a marker and write it on the disc. You should be able to use either the Creator Classic app or the Data Disc portion of the home app to burn the disc. I would burn two discs myself just in case one gets damaged or lost.

You could also copy them to a second hard drive if you have one. The idea is to have at least one (two is better) backup copy of the files in case anything happens to the ones on your main system, such as a hard drive failure or a system crash.

OK, the backup is being done as I type. THANKS folks for the help. I hope others can learn, too! smile.gif
