EMC 7x crashed and when I tried to reinstall it from the CD, Win 2k all updates and patches, I get the following:

Unable to find certificate file. When I click OK I get the following:

Could not open certificate reading DLL.

I have to go to Task Manager to get out of this message and then it goes to Severe running. When I end this program I get the following:

Idriver.exe not responding.

I have used this Version for years to burn my audio CDs with no problem until it crashed from I think a RAM problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks
Brendon
It seems that something is broken which isn't being fixed by a reinstall. Often the installer won't change things which are already in place, so I'd suggest that you try a 'clean install'.

There isn't a written 'clean install' procedure for version 7.x in W2K, but this one for XP is pretty generic and should work. CLICK HERE.

I tried this procedure but it did not solve the problem, I still get the same messages. It did remove any and all files regarding Roxio from my hard drive. So back to square 1.

Thanks
