I have an old Sony Digital 8 Handycam. I am using EMC9 with a Dazzle to copy old tapes to my computer. I was able to copy the tapes but they all have squiggly lines on the bottom (about one-eighth of an inch). Is there any way to get rid of the lines on the bottom or to copy the original tapes without the lines?

Load one of the videos into Video Wave and then turn on the TV safe zone (icon above the preview screen). Is it inside or outside the TV safe zone? If outside, it probably won't show. That squiggly line is an artifact of capture so it will normally be there.
