Using Toast 9.04

I am attempting to convert an avi file to a DVD-Video. When I select the avi file, I get the following error:

"myfile.avi" was not added because a required codec is missing (H264)

I am running OS X Version 10.5.7 and the latest Quicktime which has h.264 built in.

Do I need to add some other codec? If so, where do I get it and how do I add it?

Thanks,

Greg

I found a solution.

I first converted the file to h.264 using MPEG Streamclrip (free).

I then was able to use Toast to make the DVD.

Hope this helps someone.

I don't get it. I thought one of the file converter options was h 264. Why would you need to go out of Toast.

I downloaded it and got nothing but a white screen and no audio when trying to play my AVI files
