Hi, I got registration to go through by enabling LeaderReg.exe access through my CA (Computer Associates) Firewall (it is under Program Files as Sonic\CinePlayer DVD Pack\LeaderReg.exe).
I cannot, however, get the activation to go through although I've allowed CmDVDreg.exe access (which in Program Files is under Sonic Shared\CmDVDreg.exe) and although I've allowed WMPlayer to have access through CA. CA should not be blocking anything. I allowed for the several minutes as warned for it to connect, but I closed it after 20.
I do not like activation or registration systems that connect without telling you where you are going so you can pre-allow the Web site or the permissions with your anti-this-and-that software. I believe the activation goes to Sonic and I've given it full access but that didn't help either.
I was unable to upgrade an old Creator program in 2005 (6/16) b/c I didn't know at the time that www.nohold.net was a
Roxio-related Web site that needed to be active during the download and I had blocked it; thus my download attempts exceeded the allowed number (back then there was a max).
I hope the registration info above helps somehow. Send help, anyone, on activation, please.
Thanks! Best wishes to you both. P.S. Product for me is Roxio Sonic DVD encoder for Windows XP.
