Aloha,
I have a Dell XPS M1730 with Roxio Creator Premier is that the same as Creator 2009? If not could you please explain the difference? I cannot find Creator Premier listed in the products.

We will try but it can get a little confused…

To start, you don’t have Creator 2009! Your laptop came to market about a year before Creator 2009 and they are still working on the Time Travel option laugh.gif

Dell’s came with an OEM version of Easy Media Creator 9.

My memory is a little sketchy but I think the Premier was a Dell Only upgrade to a better form of EMC 9 but still didn’t have all of the features…

Maybe some others will jump in here and clear that up???

Creator 2009 is the 3rd Generation beyond what you have. It will do more or perhaps less than what you have… That depends on what it is you want to do…

And the laptop may be the weak link too. They usually lack the video card power to work with the current versions.

As far as I know it was a Dell only product, Roxio Creator 9.1 Premier

cd: Are you just now replacing your Easy CD 3.0 laugh.gif

I was thinking that the Premier was a purchased upgrade from the 9.0 DE or Basic.

Thank you for your replies, I never purchased the software it came with a replacement laptop from Dell that is under warranty. What ever I have it is not working, it crashes the laptop evertime I try to use it. I have a support ticket into Roxio, I guess I will wait for them to get back to me to see what is going on. As far as the video card it has a Nvidia GeForce 8700M GT.
Thank you for your help,
Lanaki

You'll get a reply from Roxio (if it isn' already in your spam folder) to contact Dell. Roxio doesn't support that version any more. It is 2 plus versions out of date.

Try doing a Windows repair. When does your computer crash?

You have a OEM version, ALL support for OEM's come from the supplier (in your case Dell).

I would contact Dell, especially since you are under warranty.

Roxio is not responsible for support on OEM,s, so whether they respond to your help is up to them, were just fellow users on here.

Thank you all,
You were right Roxio did contact me and told me to contact Dell. Dell was not much help they changed some values in the regedit and told me the problem was fixed. When I opened Roxio, the drive was not recognized. However after reading some post on this site I think I resolved the problem with a clean install.
Thanks,
Lanaki
