I have version 9.1.573 and Vista. All of a sudden drive is not found. This was installed as part of a packackage when I bought computer from Dell. I inserted cd to burn the other day now I can't get cd out of drive because drive is not there. Where do I find new driver software to install. I looked on Roxio's site but didn't find what I was looking for. I have cd that Dell already had installed on computer but I can't eject the cd that's in there now.

Please help.

Thanks,
Bridget

That is a Hardware problem… Check your manual but most drives have a tiny hole that you can insert and push a paperclip in to release the tray.

I'm not seeing a little pinhole. I have manual but not able to find where this is located.

When I restart computer it says "Windows cannot find Drive E"....so I assumed it was a driver problem.

Please help.

Thanks,
Bridget

It is not a driver probelm if it ran before and if you didn't play with the drivers. There are dozens of things it can be.

Look for the pinhole again. Is the buner behind a trap door on your computer?

ok I found the pin hole....stuck paper clip in....heard a reavin noise but tray did not slide out. Any other ideas.

Thanks so much for the help on this....I really appreciate it.

You should be able to push the paperclip in a half to three quarters of an inch, and the drive tray should then come out a short distance. You can then slowly pull it all the way out by hand if the drive is dead.

Yours doesn't sound dead. Have you tried pushing the manual eject button on the front of the drive??
