Full Version: Video artifact when using fast or slow transition themes

Using MyDVD (Creator 2010 Pro), i insert a .mp3 file in the music track starting at time 00:00.
When previewing the project, the sounds always skips 3 times from 00:00 to 00:03 , plus spurious noise at around 00:10 and ~00:20.

All .mp3 does the same. If i go in edit audio track mode, any .mp3 file plays perfectly.

The only way to fix this is to add a 4 second fade in. (So we do not hear the skipping sound too much)

Anybody?

Using MyDVD, i've added a few photos and a slow (or fast) transition theme to the whole movie.
When i preview the project, there is always artifacts at the end of each transition.
The artifact could be defined as a single frame showing the previous photo. Note that i use auto motion on all pics.

Anybody?

In another post you mentioned having ‘screendoor’ problems in C2009…

I have no idea what that is, but if problems are following you from version to version, it indicates Hardware problems???

Sry,
Not a screendoor effect but more like a moire effect on vertical and horizontal lines.

I completely change my complete hardware every 6 months. This year was no exception i changed it in May 2009. I should buy a complete system before Christmas.

And you overclock the hell out of it too! That could be a problem for you. wink.gif

EEEk! Every six months? I just upgraded after 5 or 6 years. Will take me months to get my machine the way I like it. I can't image going through all this every 6 months! LOL

nah, the i7 965 Extreme Edition is build for overclocking. The BCLK is stock, only the multiplier was changed. I consider my OC to be very modest for this processor. It is 100% stable, no crash, no blue screen, no artifacts, and can run prime or orthos on all cores until i get bored.

I'll try an older video driver to see if it fixes the problem.

Yes, it takes time to rebuild a machine, and mine is never fully installed and configured with all the software i've purchased. I tend to take the incremental approach, so that I only install when I really need it. And before I know it, it's upgrade time smile.gif Wifey and kids gets my *old* stuff.

I, along with a couple of other gurus, have the baby of the three i7 processors available. I haven't overclocked mine yet, but I saw no way that I could justify the $1,000 it would cost for the "top dog".

lduguay: You have video problems – you had problems on an earlier version as well.

Other people run the same hardware and the same software and don’t have these problems…

Time to connect the dots! Pull it down to normal specs and my guess is your problems will go away.

You have tried running on the edge, now you see what it is like to fall off laugh.gif

Jim,
Thanks for your suggestion (on another thread), i had perfect results using VW (Instead of MyDVD), no more moire effects, skipping sound or jumping images when using transitions, and CUDA acceleration actually works very well.

All this with my OC'ed rig smile.gif

Thx again
