The Sonic Solutions sales staff advised me that DVDIt Pro HD 6.4 would accept WAVE audio files and then transcode them into AC-3 Dolby files. I have been unable to cause DVDIt Pro HD to convert WAVE files to AC-3 Dolby files.

Can someone tell me if the transcode (conversion) can be done? If so, please advise me how it is done.

Thank you.

I have been doing this ever since the app was released or so, my standard workflow for customer dvd:s is to let Dvdit pro convert a wav 48 / 16 to DD 2Ch 192 kbps, what are your settings ?

DVDit will transcode .wav to ac3 but only as part of DVd or image creation. Transcoding does not work outside of the DVD process, if that is what you are trying to use it for..

Very good point, John

If it is a case of wanting to transcode the audio files only.... there are many freeware programmes out there that will do it at the click of a button. Use your favourite search engine to look for e.g. ".wav to .ac3"
