Hi all

Well, not sure where to start. Am trying to transfer a recordered show from TiVo to my MacBook Pro using TiVo Transfer. The file size is 6.9GB and gets to about 5GB of the transfer then just stops and waits. I've left it all day and nothing happens beyond the 5GB point.

I've successfully transfered smaller files (around 1GB) but the larger files just seem to get stuck at about 70% of the transfer. The portion that does get transferred will actually play on the Mac, but when I get to the actual program content (about 10 minutes into the recording), there is no sound. Everything else (commercials and the show on prior to the one I actually want) does have sound.

My MacBook uses Snow Leopard and TiVO Transfer Beta I recently downloaded. This condition existed prior to upgrading to Snow, ie 10.5.7, so it's not unique to Snow or TiVo Transfer Beta.

It's very frustrating. I had been using the wireless adaptor, but started to think this may have been the cause. So, I changed to ethernet. That didn't make it any better, other than making the transfer faster. (5GB took about 4 hours to transfer).

Any feedback or suggestions would be much appreciated

Update: After trying a few things, was finally able to successfully transfer my shows. Had to disable sleep mode and screen saver, quit any other applications running on my Mac and connect to TiVo using ethernet. Transfers were slow, but eventully successful. Also had to make sure Dolby Digital was checked under the Audio menu of Toast Video Player. All was fine after these steps.

I am havaing same issue. only half the file on tivo transfers to my mac... any ideas on how to make this work?
