Hi Guys,

I've been trying to burn a movie for my son, and I have the complete file on my hard disk. I tried using My DVD Express, and somwhow, it only gives me 6 seconds out of the 1:40 movie.

I've tried goinf inro Video Wave, without being able to extend the duration of the clip. Can anyone tell me how to do it? It had never happened before!! Thanks so much!!!

Other than don’t work you really didn’t give us anything to work with laugh.gif

What is the source? Where did it come from?

I copied the movie from one of his friends' as they're kids and they keep scratching and biting the disks. We have done it several times, and never had any problems with it. We simply select the file from within the movie wizard in My DVD Express, and then select the theme, etc. But the one I'm trying to do today will only show 6 seconds.

If I go to Windos Media, it will show me the complete AVI file.

Is there anything else you need to know? Thanks!!! laugh.gif

I was hoping to dig a little deeper… biggrin.gif

Guessing it was recorded with a DVD Recorder/Player and the disc was not finalized in the machine. – probably using ‘dash’ media as ‘plus’ media behaves better.

Try Finalizing in the Recorder.

In a pinch – copy the VOB files to your HDD and rename them to mpg. Load them into Windows Movie Maker and output them from there as an mpg or AVI.
