I've found the Creator 2009 and creator 2010 easier to use to create DVDs than the version Roxio provided Dell. However, I can play blu ray DVDs only with the Dell version. Creator 2010 with the Blu Ray plug in advises me to download software updates since CINEPLAYER cannot read blu ray disks. There are no such software updates on Roxio.com for CINEPLAYER within Creator 2010. The computer system will not let me keep both versions of Roxio on one computer. Therefore, I need two computers, one for Creator 2010 to create DVDs; the other for Roxio Easy Media Creator DE 10.2 to play Blu Ray DVDs.

When can you fix Creator 2010 so that it will play all blu ray DVDs, not just the ones it creates?

The plugin will allow you to play all Blu-Ray discs, using CinePlayer.

Before you spend any more money at Roxio, your Dell computer comes with software to play Bluray discs called PowerDVD. Try that first

I believe that the OP wants to use Cineplayer, to play commercial DVDs, and no 3rd party software is going to give Cineplayer that capability.

If you want to play these directly to you pc monitor and not through a hdcp receiver this plugin will work however this plugin is not hdcp 1.3 compliant so it will not work if your hdmi cable is routed through a receiver or a switch.

I have been waiting for a resolve or response as to if and when this is going to be addressed.

It works great for me, with my computer Blu-Ray player, and I think that's what the OP wants to do, too.

I am glad that it works for you.........however the manufacturers claim of Rich High-Def Home Theater Audio is a bit misleading being the only way to get High-Def sound is over hdmi. And if you plug your hdmi cable into a receiver it will not work.

As I stated it will work great if you want to watch blu-ray on your computer with computer sound.

Hey by the way nice computer system you have I also am running a i7 920 with and intel dx58 motherboard 6 gig of 1800 ram and a ati 4870. Want to set up raid have plenty of hard drives but just have not had the time lately.

I already had that plug-in installed. It came free of charge with my purchase of Roxio's Creator 2010. Shortly after purchasing Creator 2010, I received an email from Roxio with a link to a free download of the blu ray plug in which didn't work. However, Dell Technical Support helped me load both versions in the same computer and I can now play back any blu ray disk as well as create a blu ray dvd. The link you provided wants another $30.00 for the plug-in which I had previously purchased on your special. I need to know when you are going to fix that version or provide me another free download.

Nobody here is going to fix any software (actually there is nothing to fix) or supply you with a free download since we are just users like you. If you want to contact Roxio you will have to do it via Customer Service.

There are 2 different "plug-ins": one is for creating BD discs which comes with Creator 2010 Pro and another is the "plug-in" for playing back commercial BD discs via Cineplayer which is not "free" and costs $29.99

Are you having the same problem as I............trying to run the cable thru a receiver or a switch? I can get the plugin to work if I run directly to the monitor and use computer sound. The plugin at this time will not support repeaters and they know about this and tech support told me they are supposed to be updating it some time in the future, the time frame is unknown however and I guess I can understand this being the software if so new.

Funny, I had to pay for the frustration with the plugin at least you got the frustration free of charge!.........Just joking!
