Which OS do you use? Any particular reason why? Are you ready to switch to Windows 7?

Came with computer with upgrade to W7 included. Tried Vista earlier with underpowered laptop and hate it. Seems to wok OK with this one (with a couple of quirks).

What about those (us) MAC users? I have Snow Leopard.

Was more interested in 32bit v 64bit Windows use. LOL I stilll don't like the Vista UI Theme, but getting more used to how Vista works vs WinXP. I still think XP has better access to wireless networks and I much prefer the 'DOS' type tree in Explorer pane on the left.

I was thinking about install my copy of Vista on my laptop once I upgrade to Win7 on the desktop, but not sure yet.

Actually Gary, for those that don't like Vista (any flavor), if they get the Win 7 professional version, it has an option to run XP quite nicely. I for one still have a nice running XP computer but as the hardware and software drivers/programs are changing I have pretty much totally switched to Vista. One running Vista Ultimate 64bit on a new build and another running Vista HP 32bit on another build.

The win 7 I run (separate mobile drive) is the 32 bit ver of the last beta ver. To me win 7 is really a lot like Vista with some good changes, so once the Win 7 final is out, I will most likely start using it as my main computer OS. If you hate Vista you will probably take quite a while getting used to Win 7, as it very similar.

I think Win7 UI Theme is even worse that Vista. Going back to the 'flat' look. No more 3D, glassy look at all on the task bar. Unfortunately, our opinions really don't count. Either use Windows or switch to something else - which isn't likely since I have so much invested in hardware and software. Just because I have to use it, doesn't mean I have to love it or even like it. LOL I'll have to start searching the internet for UI hacks in Win7.

Seems apparent that we all have more than one computer running different OSes.

Got 2 systems running W7 x64 very well now. These are both RTM. Still boot into Vista x64 a few times a month but been using W7 99% of the time. Speed compared to XP is hard for me to accurately judge but W7 is faster than Vista for me without a doubt.
Boot up time is very good and so far, no programs I have installed have had problems with x64. As time goes on, I don't expect any. It's running Roxio Creator 2009 Ultimate and Roxio Creator 2010 well and I have a number of TV tuners in both systems that run Media Center and GBPVR to record tv and they work well also.
At my office, I'm all XP and will likely stay that way for awhile as I doubt I'd see any benefit now other than spending money. Almost any OS will crack out invoices, spreadsheets and get email and browse the net so what's paid for is what's being used.

I have 2 systems running XP 32 bit. Vista is not in my future, but Windows 7 is.

Maybe I should have rephrased the question to 'What OS do you on a daily basis?". LOL This isn't a 'typical' group of users. Personally, I don't know anyone that uses more than one computer. Much less, uses several different OSes on the same machine.

I have three computers (one is actually not "mine" but my wife's laptop) running winxp32. Hers came with vista and an optional "rollback" to xp and she chose to do so as it would run faster and she was familiar with xp.
I have one tower that's strictly for Adobe products (photoshop, dreamweaver etc.) and has no unnecessary programs on it, eg. antivirus to allow it to run as quick as possible with the 2 gig of ram limit ( though I do have 3gig on board).
I do want to go to a 64 bit system so I can add ram as my cams are putting out ever larger files (my 5dII is pumping out 30meg+ raw files, over 120 megs in tiff). The problem I have is I have a lot of 'plugin' software for photoshop that is either unstable or unsupported in 64 bit systems (still!). I'm hoping that'll change in win7.
Going to mac isn't an option for me. It's just too costly to repurchase all that software.
