I have Roxio Creator DE 10.2 on Dell XPS workstation. I am trying to copy Outlook .pst files to a RW-DVD. The file copies to the RW-DVD ok, but file attributes show as "Read-Only". When you try to remove the "Read-Only" attribute, you receive an error message - the attributes of the file cannot be changed. The file needs to be "Read/Write" so it can be opened for reference in Outlook. Any ideas on how to remove "Read-Only" attribute?

That is how it is with Optical Media and Authoring.

There is something called Packet Writing that was dropped 3 versions ago in EMC 10. It is available through Vista called Live File Burning but that it the only way anymore.

If you are wondering why, it was because Packet Writing has proven to be completely unreliable through the years resulting in total data loss without warning.

You cannot change the "Read/Write Attributes" on CDs or DVDs - they are not like floppy discs.
