I have just been given a Panasonic camera HDC SD200 for my 60th and it has a memory card only. I previously used Roxio Creator 8 with a miniDV camera and Roxio converted the HD to SD for me. I went to the capture screen, but there is no recognition of the card reader. Can Roxio 9 do this, if not, will Roxio 10 have the facility.

Dont capture; use Windows to copy the files to yuor hard drive. What is the format of the files on the memory card?

This is going to sound very sad but I dont know. The camcorder is new to me and I have never used a memory card before. I tried inserting the memory card into my card reader - which I use for photo transfers, but the computer did not recognise it at all. The card is 16gb, so I wondered if it was too big. Roxio creator 9 didnt recognise it in the capture window, there did not seem to be means of importing it this way.
Sorry for delay in writingm, but our computer decided to pack up temporarily and we had to reinstall windows!!! It is quite old and needs replacing soon. Just got it back again (thankfully last back up was on Monday!!!)

Can you connect your camcorder to your PC via a USB connection? If yes, does Windows explorer see the camcorder as another drive?
