Full Version: Does Boom Box work with Intel MACs?

I have a brand new MAC and Boom Box is totally unstable (can't save files, application hangs). Support say its because Boom Box is not supported on Intel MAC but the web states it is supported. Confusing answers, and, an application that doesn't work ;-(

What app in Boom Box? I know Spin Doctor is not fully compatible with the Intel Mac yet.

Bingo, its Spin Doctor. Before I purcahsed I checked the web and for Boom Box it states ''the product works as expected with Intel''. To me that means it should work?

I purchased the Boom Box to run on my new iMac. When I load a previously saved audio file it brings up the wave form. When I hit play nothing happens. When I hit stop, the Force Quit pane tells me that Spin Doctor is not responding. BUMMER. I hope they fix it soon. Its about half the reason i purchased the new iMac.

FYI, there is a Boom Box v1.1 updater in the software updates area which updated most of the apps to universal binary including CDSD.

Hi Patrick,

I just downloaded BB1.1. I noticed that there is a new app called MusicIP Mixer instead of MusicMagic Mixer and that iPodderX is no longer there.

Any info as to what the differences are between MusicIP Mixer and MusicMagic Mixer and my guess is that iPodderX isn't there because of the issue of using "pod" in the name. But why is there not any replacement. I didn't delete the copy of iPodderX that I have since I really like it and don't know of a viable alternative.

Is there any docs on MusicIP Mixer?

Thanks,

Bob

iPodder X has never released an Intel version. That's the reason for not including it in the 1.1 update. As for Music Magic Mixer, it was updated to version 2.0 and renamed to MusicIP Mixer. It is the same product, just a newer version.
