I brought in a rendered video file made in VideoWave to DVD Builder and had difficulty trying to get to a timeline so I could add background music. I don't know what I did, but when now I cannot open DVD Builder in Creator 7.
I get a msg that says, Cannot Start Application. No audio rendering filter was found. Please install or reinstall y our audio driver software.
I put my Creator 7 disc in to reinstall and chose the Repair option. It did not work. How do I get the audio filter back??? Where is it???
And when I bring a video into DVD Builder, How do I edit it and add music. I'm really confused by this when I choose Add Title and then choose the completed mpg vidio from my files. I would appreciate any help you can give me.
Thanks,
Anna Lee
Anna Lee, I have moved your post from the EMC 8 forums to the EMC 7/7.5 forums since your questions are EMC 7 related.
Actually you should continue to work in Videowave since that is the program to use for editing video, adding audio, transitions, effects etc. DVD Builder is designed to be used for creating menus and burning the actual DVD.
Have you tried to add the audio in Videowave and do you get the same message? If yes then I would think that there is a problem with your sound card and EMC 7 is unable to work with the sound card.
Could you list your computer specs including video and sound card similar to what I have in my signature.
If you have only one title in your production there really is no need to render to mpeg in Videowave. You can simply "save As" your project to what is called a "dmsm" file. This file contains all the editing instructions as well as list of the source files in your project. It does not contain any actual video or audio, your original video/audio/photos remain untouched. Saving the project file in Videowave makes it much easier to later make editing changes to your project if you need to. After you have saved your project file you can click on File/Burn Production to Disc from the main Menu or click the "Burn Production to Disc" icon on the Production Editor toolbar, its the right-most icon. If your do this, Videowave will close and DVD Builder will open with your VideoWave production loaded as Title one.
