Recently I had to reload/clean-install my OS (Win XP Pro, SP2) and all programs. All programs execpt EMC 7.5 seem to be working correctly. In particular, when "create slideshow" is selected from the EMC Main Menu, I get Sonic MyDVD SlideShow V 6.1.2, rather than the usual (see the tutorial for EMC 7.5) EMC slideshow creation screen. Upon creating a slideshow with MyDVD SlideShow and then attempting to "view" the slideshow using the MYDVD preview tool, the viewed slideshow images are inverted mirror images of the slideshow! The creation screens all appear normal - i.e., imported/HD File selected photos are normal left to right, top to bottom images. Only in the "View Slideshow" mode are the images inverted and reversed. Anyone know how to revert to the tutorial mode so that music, audio, transitions, etc. can be managed?

Click on VideoWave, instead of clicking on create slide show. When you clicked on cread slide show, it did exactly what the software was designed to do.

Bruce has you going in the right direction for sure johnt. In version 7.5 and for making a slide show, build the production in Videowave and the use DVDbuilder to burn the DVD itself.

I agree that you should be using VideoWave.

However, I'm a bit concerned about the inverted and reversed images.

Are you certain that you've updated the drivers for your video card when you reinstalled everything?

It surprised me that VideoWave was the solution, as to the best of my recolection a few months ago I had used the "Slideshow" selection to create a DVD slideshow. However, after trying your suggestion, and seeing how it worked in the way I expected, I am now not so sure my memories are valid!

Non the less, I thank you very much for setting me straight. We must be "of an age", as I too was in Viet Nam (USAF, Cam Ran & Danang) - one year before you ('67 - '68). Our MB's are the same, though I use Win XP Pro on this machine.

Thanks also to Frank and mlpasley for taking the time to respond. I thank both of them. Regarding my video card driver, my video card is an ATI 8500 that, I believe, Pinnacle either modified the card or modified the driver to work with their outboard connection hardware for Liquid Edition V5 (I have upsdated LE V5 two times with no problem other than that the external hardware only works with V5). I cannot say the driver is not the problem causing the inverted, reversed image, but I do not experience this problem with any other software.

Since VideoWave seems to be solving my problem, I'll probably finish a couple of projects before I get back to experimenting with "MyDVD", etc. Perhaps someone from Roxio will comment on this anomaly.
