I'm having trouble using disc copier to burn a DL DVD+R disc. I don't have any trouble using it to copy to single density DVD discs. It recognized the disc in the drive was a DL DVD and started up fine, but died at 51%. I tried it twice and got the same result. I don't recall the exact error message, but do remember it said something about a DVD write error.
I'm assuming it's a software issue because I am consistently able to burn ISO to DL DVD+r discs with DVD Decrypter. In fact, I ended up using DVD Decrypter to burn the ISO file that failed with Disc Copier.
Any suggestions?
Basics about my computer are:
* Dell Inspiron 9400 notebook
* TSST L522B DVD+/-RW w/DE04 firmware
* Intel Dual Core T2600
* 1GB RAM
* Plenty of free disk space
* ATI Mobility X1400 Video

Have you checked for new firmware for your drive? I know the box is knew but it wouldn't hurt to check.
Nice box too.....how do you like it?

Beerman,
I did check for firmware updates for the drive. There was an update that I applied back in June so everything's up to date. There is a new bios update that was posted on 8/11, but I'm hesitant to apply it until some more time goes by and I can see some user feedback.
All said, it still feels like there's some software or EMC configuration issue given I can use the drive just fine with other software (like DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, DVD players, etc).
Per your other question: I like the Inspiron 9400. The display is nice and the performance is good. I probably would go for 2GB next time, but am glad I went with the T2600 (fastest they had at the time) and the 7200 RPM drive. The dual core does seem to make a noticable difference in multitasking. There are some cooler notebook designs out there, but this has most all the key features I wanted/needed. It was a little pricey at the time of purchase, but other than that I'm happy with it.

I am having the same problem except mine stops at 12%. I have updated everything under the sun as well as contacting Roxio support with no resolution. If anyone has a solution, I would love to know what it is.
